In 2024, EURCAW-Pigs continued with physical visits to Member States. Romania, Spain and Poland were visited, and delegates were 10-40 MS officials of the country where the Roadshow meeting was organised.

The delegates included inspectors, policy workers, and CAs. The meetings were as much as possible in the language of the country where it is held. The topics were proposed by the Member State, to allow targeted support. The meetings lasted one full day, from lunchtime to lunchtime to allow travel before and after the meeting.

A Roadshow meeting was attended by 2-5 experts from EURCAW-Pigs. Roadshows were organised by a team from one of the three consortium partners (DK, NL and DE) together with local scientists. These local scientists were also invited to provide the translation of documents and interpret the presentations.

The Roadshow meetings support local knowledge development and capacity building, and are highly useful for other EURCAW activities, e.g., the search for inspiring examples, finding members of the Community of Practice that will be launched in 2025, obtaining video footage, identifying speakers for podcasts, and identifying areas of interest for future activities of EURCAW-Pigs.

A detailed and combined summary of the outcomes of the three Roadshow meetings will be available in January 2025.
